Okay . . . I've cleaned up
this page even more. The truly horrible wallpapers are now gone. The semi-horrible
wallpapers (made when I was just starting out in PS) are near the top, and the
newer, only marginally horrible wallpapers are near the bottom. :)
If you are brave enough to use these, and you would like a size or colour mod,
contact me
and let me know. In most cases, I can probably swing it.
To save a
wallpaper, click on the appropriate link, wait for the picture to load, then
right click --> "Save As" and save to your own computer. NO DIRECT
LINKING, PLEASE!
Early attempts
Some
of my first wallpapers were for each character in Sailor Moon. This is the only
one
I'm brave enough to show publicly. The Rei/Sailor Mars one is not recommended
for
people with tiny bits of RAM, as the file is really too huge for a proper wallpaper.
I
am a great fan of The Tick in all its incarnations: cartoon, live action,
and especially comic book.
Sadly, one of the best characters in the Tickiverse only appears in the comic:
The Chainsaw Vigilante.
He's a villain, but a post-modern villain who is actually trying to help superheroes
by rehabillitating them.
With a chainsaw. Well, nobody's perfect.
One
of many literary-themed wallpapers, but the only one sort of good enough to
offer.
The painting: George Frederic Watts. The poem: Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
Okay,
this is reeeeely bad. This is a photograph I took that didn't turn
out well, so I tweaked it into a wallpaper. This was originally a retina-searing
yellow until I decided to give my suffering monitor a break by desaturating
it.
Latest attempts (oldest to newest)
On the left is an awesome photo of Andrew (Sloan drummer/guitarist extraordinaire)
taken (and developed!) by my sister. On the right are the handwritten lyrics
of one
of his songs. Not very skillful, I suppose, but I loves me that photo. My sister
requested that this photo not be made available to others, which unfortunately,
makes this particular wallpaper unadoptable. Sorry Sloanfans.
I
quickly whipped this one up after watching one of my all-time favourite movies,
Amelie.
Finding decent Amelie pics on the net is difficult, and if I ever find
more, I'm so going to town.
Another
of my all-time favourite movies, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead,
was
recently released on DVD, so . . . celebratory wallpapers! I love the first
one to pieces -
it's my current desktop. The second one will probably stir a chuckle from those
who
know the movie/play and a raised eyebrow of concern from those who don't.
Anyway, screencaps came from here.

Finding
4 episodes of Young Ones screencaps the other day caused me to go into
a
wallpapery frenzy. I completed four and started four more before my roll (danish?
fritter?)
was interrupted by having to go to work. (Curse you, work!) I adore the People's
Poet 'paper.
All the screencaps came from here.
