Les Femmes Celebres Project
Here's the deal: I've decided to collect dolls based on the "Gallery of Famous Women" plates at costumes.org, basically transforming that page of plates into a page of pixel dolls. I've tackled a few of the plates on my own, but I've commissioned more from other dollers who are far more talented than I. I'll have this gallery organized and running by my next site-wide update, but in the meantime, if you're stuck for inspiration (or just reeeely reeeeely bored), why not create a Femmes Doll and submit it to the gallery? Simply choose a plate and doll it (no frankendolling or using stolen bases or other evil things like that), and submit the final product (with base credit) to me via email. I'll post it here with full credit and a link to your site. Hopefully this page will transform into a fantabulous display of beautiful historic costumes.
