PURCHASES

Forum purchases: look down. Waaaaay down. :)

NONE OF THESE DOLLS ARE ADOPTABLE! THANKS!

Made by: Possum
Base: Watermelon Bubblegum

As part of the EE Sunshine lurve last month, I bought a doll from Possum's shop. She did an admirable job with this me doll, considering the clothes I wear are always bedecked with complicated prints and embroidery.

Made by: amavanna
Base: Pixie's Dolls

Saw these fairies in amavanna's shop and just couldn't resist. I've been having this curious love affair for pink lately. It's quite perplexing.

Made by: heliel
Base: azha

Eeeeee! Mini-Sloan! Heliel taylor made Patrick, Chris, Andrew and Jay (circa Action Pact) for me and rocked these sprites. I could just hug them and squeeze them and call them George . . . .

Made by: Kenly (+ base)

Couldn't resist these ultragroovy plates for sale . . . I love the summery greeness!

Made by: |3lackroze (+ base) (site down)

Total impulse buy: saw these purdy, purdy fans and just had to have me one.

Made by: ljiljana (+ base) (site down)

I have no idea how ljiljana pixels such marvelous glass . . . I knew I had to have one of her beautiful bottles so I could gaze at it jealously.

Made by: *Blossom* (+base)

How much is that Cheepie in the window?
The one with the blinkity eye-ee-eye-ee-eyes?
How much is that Cheepie in the window?
He's so cute I could just squeal like a fourth grader until I'm blue in the face

So what if it doesn't rhyme? LOOKIE! CUTENESS!

Made by: Devonie (+ base) (site down)

A bunny and a duck in an Easter bonnet? How could I resist such fancyhat wares?

Made by: Shamrys (+ base)

I'm rather a fan of the items Shamrys sells in her shops. They're so nifty and cute that I wish they had real-life counterparts so I could keep them at my workspace to play with during boredom emergencies.

Made by: FeyMeggan
Base: Bunnystick, Magic Lessons, Angel Dust

You know there are some subjects out there that only one doller can tackle. This is such a subject: a 2D anime-style fighting game whose fighters are all characters in Les Miserables. No, really. I asked for FeyMeggan's rendition of one of these combattantes des rues, and she gives me two! In a fighting scene! Fantastique!

Made by: |3lackroze (site down)
Doll bases: Turtlebug
All prop bases: |3lackroze

After gazing into one of the snowglobes on her site, I bid on |3lackroze at auction and won her services. I gave her three snowglobey options and she did all of them! Dig the awesome detail and terrific animation! That's me in there . . . I'm currently in the umbrella stage. :)

Made by: engdom
Base: Wayuki

engdom offered frogs that turned into princes in her FF Valentines-themed store, and I couldn't resist. Check out my prince, in all his sexy three-piece suit glory! And you gotta love those tousled locks. This was definitely a frog worth kissing!

Made by: Keisha
Base: Swiss Cheese Army

I saw this doll at FF's auction house and I just had to bid. I really like the blue and black colour combo, and then there's my soft spot for all things sailory. (I think this goes all the way back to my childhood. Donald Duck was always one of my favourite Disney characters.)

From top to bottom, left to right:

1. Snowgals by: Baybe
Base: Dazed Journey

2. Moose by: Jacqueline (+ base)

3. Victorian caroler by sawcat
Base: tropicallili

4. Angel by Silverwolf (+ base)

5. Wreath by kendi64 (+ base)

6. Sleepybear by Teri (+ base)

Any money I may have made opening a Halloween shop I completely spent on Christmas purchases (and then some!). It was an awesome crop this year at FF and I'm glad I got in on the action!

Made by: Arianstar
Base: Historical Dolls (site closed)

Arianstar and I have been crossing paths a lot lately, and I seem to be getting the better of the exchange. First was the member item auction (see below), next was this fabulous doll based on a fairy tale illustration, and then she ended up being my Secret Santa! (See gift page.) Sweeeeeet.

Made by: Gaja
Base: Apitchou

After an afternoon watching The Prestige, I had a hankering for male Victorian wear (So dapper! So snazzy!), so I headed on over to Gaja's shop and ordered up one dude, circa 1895. Check out the textures! Check out that fine looking cravat! Bring back the cravat, I say! . . . . Of course, it probably wouldn't go with saggy-butt pants all that well. *sighs*

Made by: Scatron (+ base)

Mark my words, folks: this base is gonna be the biggest thing since they made an inflatible replica of the Queen Mary 2. (I have no idea what that means.) So. Take one amazing base and one amazing doller making dolls on that base, and I'm there! Scatron created this fantastic av of me in a Hudson's Bay Company coat. This is probably the closest I'll ever come to wearing a coat like this, since I would probably have to sell several major organs on the black market before I could afford one. Hm! Hmm . . . .

Made by: Arianstar
Base: Pixtoki

Bought at auction, I couldn't resist this princess' charms . . . or her shimmery purple and blue dress.

Made by: Gaja
Base: If Looks Could Kill

Gaja opened a shop! Woot! The door was barely unlocked, when I rushed in and ordered me up a Prince George (from Black Adder III) doll. Now the terrific Edmund (Black Adder II) she made for my Britcom contest has someone to verbally abu-- er, has a friend!

Dolls & bases made by (L to R): Shamrys, Heather, Nickie (site down)

I think I'm getting more into Halloween every year, from a doll forum perspective. I couldn't resist buying some of the 'weenie wares from the FF shops this year. No tricks, just treats!

Made by: Hez
Base: Jethyn

This av? Total. Bargain. Hez is a terrific av maker, and now I have one of my own! I love the shiny brunette hair, and the intricate frame looks even better now that I see it against a darker background. Thanks for putting this one up for auction, Hez!

Made by: Pandemonium
Base: Doll on the Hill Factory

Third time's the pandemonious charm! The assigned task: doll my sister and I in our wedding dress & bridesmaid dress (respectively). This is the result. Check out the bouquets! This is why I'm a pandemonious repeat customer!

Made by: kendi64
Base: Pseudo

I'm beyond the squeeful that kendi has a store, because there's no way I'd be able to afford her at auction! I'm always plastering her with odd costumes and requests, and she always does such a spectacular job handling them. This time around, I asked for a dress based on a picture that I always wanted to doll myself, but was way too chicken to try. Applause for kendi the brave! Dig the awesome gold tones and nifty powdered wig!

Made by: Spacecase
Base: Tempting Turquoise (no URL)

I don't bid on item auctions all that often (or, okay, ever), but this medieval lady by Spacecase really caught my eye. I seem to be in lurve with well-made historical creations.

Made by: Silverwolf (+ base)

After being so happy with my first Silverwolf-made dynamic shop order, I decided to order a second. I had no idea what it would be, but I knew the end result would be a one-of-a-kind Silverwolf original. And I was right!

Made by: Pandemonium
Base: Bunnystick

Two Pandemonius auctions wins in a row! Woo! I totally didn't think I would win a second one, given the her wild talents, but I guess I caught everyone napping that time around. Yay for me - I got another awesome Femmes Celebres doll for my collection! Check it out, yo: ruffles galore! Tres difficile!

Made by: alicia
Base: The Purple Dungeon

This was one hard fought auction! I'm so glad I was able to win alicia's services whilst I still had a ton of forum currency . . . I'll never be able to afford her again! Still, I'm so pleased with what I have. This is alicia's take on Aschenputtel, or the German version of Cinderella. I'm completely enamoured with the soft burgundy palette and the depthtastic shading. The background is stunning too, although my Latinless brain is clueless as to the meaning of the words. Something about omniscient maize, I think.

Made by: Faeini (site closed)
Base: Punie Pixel

Cuteness! One look through Faeini's site and I could see she has a penchant for fantasy, so I gave her a list of all the RPG characters I ever played and she chose the one that's nearest and dearest to my heart. Dig the cape and the nifty elven locks! Perfect capture of the character's crazy mischieviousness.

Made by: Silverwolf (+ base)

When I saw the New Year's crackers Silverwolf was crafting in her shop, I knew I had to get one. Each cracker was tailor made for each recipient, complete with special animations. This cracker has two of my favourite design elements: orange and fleur de lys!

Have a gander at the other crackers she sold. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face. :)

Made by: Elfie (no site)

When Elfie started selling pixel ponies in her shop, I have to admit that I scoffed at first. I thought I was so over the pony thing, but then I started thinking of the countless hours spent playing with them and I got sucked into an inescapable vortex of My Little Pony nostalgia. I think I'm still there . . . . the Seapony song from the movie has been stuck in my head for days!

Shoo be doo, shooshoo be doo . . . . . WAUGH!

Made by: Pandemonium
Base: Apitchou

Dig the awesomeness that is this historical doll! In my new site colours, even, which is cool with a whole whack of o's. I love Pandemonium's effort to put a sense of motion in the skirt. 99.9% of my dresses are completely static; I'm a lazy ol' coot, but I think this doll is kicking my butt to try and strive a bit more in future dress attempts.

Made by: Snuggle Bunni (site closed)
Base: Angy-chan

Yes, I am one of those hopeless romantic dorks. :D After checking out the keen layout doll on Snuggle Bunni's site, I purchased Snuggle Bunni's services because I knew she could handle a King Endymion. Behold! She totally nailed the hair and check out all the jacket detail. Spiffy!

Made by: kendi64
Base: Fainelloth Dolls

After an 18 year absence, I've taken up curling again, and I needed a doll to celebrate! I was so happy with the last doll I ordered from kendi, that I really put her to the test with a very specific request: an obscure sport, an ill-described style (I believe I used the words "retro-tweedy"), and no pictures to help. She really rose to the challenge, not only making me an excellent (and accurate!) doll, but providing me with a dizzying amount of choice edits! Sweetness!

Made by: Laiyla (site closed)
Base: EE Exclusive (site closed), edit by Laiyla

I'm always fascinated by how different people pixel hair, and Laiyla's style compelled me to order an av from her shop. Cool hair, and an excellent job on my Sergeant-Pepper-Tours-the-Orient shirt!

Made by: Lady Renee (site closed)
Base: Ecandy
Props by: Lilacblizzard, Crazie Cathie , Elfie (no site)

Whoa nelly! When I asked Lady Renee for a "The Princess and the Frog" doll, not only did I get the full-on kit, but the kaboodle as well! Dig this pretty princess, golden ball and all. The frog is so ceeeute, though I don't know if he's kissing material. :D

Made by: Fey Meggan
Base: Bunnystick

FeyMeggan did an awesome job adapting this base from Bunnystick to suit the willowy, tragic figure of Prince Lir from The Last Unicorn. Check out the cool fluttering cape action!

Made by: Fey Meggan
Base: Bunnystick

Kick yourself! Chainsaw Vigilante, woooo! I knew FeyMeggan was up for my unique challenge: a pixel doll version of my favourite comic book character. CV was a staple in The Tick comics, but never appeared in the cartoon or live action series. Such a pity. Anyway, we both agreed that if there's one thing the dolling world needs more of, it's chainsaws. :)

Made by: Vanessa (site down)
Base: Apitchou

My recruitment task for Vanessa: two birthstone dolls, one representing emerald (my sister), the other representing ruby (moi). This is the most excellent result - I especially like the 'dos. I wish I had a head of blond locks like that!

Made by: Scatron
Base: If Looks Could Kill

You know, whenever I request a portrait or a doll of myself, it often looks better than the real life version! *L* From day one, I've admired Scatron's unique method of drawing hair. So shiny and full of body, it makes me want to start buying more expensive shampoos! It's going to be awhile before I retire this av; I just can't stop beholding it. :D

Made by: kendi64
Base: Rhudriel's Dolls

I consider myself one lucky doll fan . . . just before EE went down for the count, I managed to sneak into kendi64s shop and order this Victorian-gowned doll. She. Is. Awesome. I've always wanted to doll this dress, but there's no way I could have done it this well.

Made by: Ali (+ base) (site down)

I was about to make a joke about being a pin rather than a pin-up, but thought the best of it. Artsy Alicatt made me a portrait on a pin (or button, if you prefer accurate nouns over alliteration). This is me wearing a shirt I wish I had. On AA's own base, which I find rather keen.

Made by : Indecisive Sweets
Base: Sabraelle's Garden

The request: a tea party doll. The result: a cee-ute tea party scene complete with props. I lurve the hat!

Made by: Fey Meggan
Base: If Looks Could Kill

One auction win of FeyMeggan's talents resulted in four dolls. I love her taste in character dolls . . . this is Pete Wisdom of the X-Verse

Made by: DawnDreamer (+base) (site closed)

Ever since I found a photo of an 18th century female "hunting" outfit, I knew I wanted to see it on a doll. Thing is, I couldn't do it! However, DawnDreamer could and did an excellent job to boot!

Made by: Fey Meggan
Base: Sanity Challenged

Roxy of the Misfits displaying her trademark 'tude.

Made by: Fey Meggan
Base: Kaleigh Blue (no URL)

One FeyMeggan's many talents is her ability to render male action characters. Exibit A: Ken from Street Fighter.

Made by: HotCaramel (no site)
Base: Eden Enchanted edit by Jishin (site closed)

This was my first item purchase at the EE auction. I took one look at these excellent brunette tresses and knew I had to get my hands on this sweet looking av!

Made by: Cha Lia
Base: Sweet and Sassy

This funky av is from prolific avmaker Cha Lia. I think it's super keen and I've been using it on and off since I bought it at FF.

Made by: Firewoman
Base: ecandy

I've only recently come to the attention of Firewoman, who is a fantastic doller with an eye for detail and a penchant for historical costume. I won her services at an FF auction and gave her a pile of historical costume pictures to choose from. She chose one of the most intricate ensembles: that of a 1780s French woman.

Made by: tikabunny
Base: Magic Lessons

In my first EE auction win, I recruited tikabunny and her love of CLAMP to make me a doll of a Magic Knight Rayearth character. The result was a terrific twofer: my favourite couple, Fuu and Ferio. Aw. Ain't they sweet?

Made by: MBladez (+base)

Much lurve for this doll! It's a portrait of me in my favourite outfit with my favourite accessory. I was lucky to get this doll in the brief time MBladez had a shop. She was swamped with requests and you can see why!

Made by: Fey Meggan
Base: Netbelle

Had to jump on Fey Meggan's penchant for X-Verse dolls by asking her to make me a Dani Moonstar doll.

Made by: linenai (site closed)
Base: Pinkland, butterflies by Crazie Cathie

This beautifully shaded doll is a representation of one of my first RPG characters. This is in a more tranquil time, before she got involved with a rabble of no-gooders who were particularly adept at finding trouble (with nasty, big, pointy teeth!). Love the hair!

Made by: Shanti (site closed)
Base: Sephora

I ask for a Hepburn doll and Shanti takes on the most complex outfit she ever wore! Kudos for the ambition AND the fantastic final result!

Made by: Fizelle (+base)

Another attempt on an antique hunting costume. Dig the awesome patterns in the skirt!

Made by: Fizelle (+base)

This was part of a two-for-one deal offered by Fizelle. This is a fictional character of mine I created eons ago. She did an excellent job of capturing her naivete and innocence.

Made by: Kamala (+base) (site closed)

When I purchased Kamala's services, I asked for a doll of Sedna, an Inuit goddess. Dig the careful and authentic detail on the clothes! Yowsa.

Made by: Niza (site closed)
Base: Magenta Stars

I was very lucky to win Niza's services at FF because I wanted this Christmas scene of my sister and I and I knew that besides being a fantastic doller, she gets mad props for her props! This is a super accurate and amazingly detailed job, considering she only had a grainy black and white photo to work with. It's the keeniest.

Made by: Niza (site closed)
Base: Laurelin

I tried hard to resist, but I couldn't help but to bid for Niza when she put her services up for auction again. This time 'round, I requested a doll from House of Flying Daggers . . . and she gave me a whole scene that's every bit as beautiful as the movie itself. If you haven't seen it, go. Go now.

Made by: Zelda (site closed)
Base: Random Doodles

I definitely got my money's worth when Zelda made me this male rococo fashion statement. I think four or five regular sized dolls could fit into this one! I really dig the unique way she shades. It's gotta take forever!
