These are all dolls I've made for other people. Please respect
the spirit in which they were made by looking, but not adopting! Thanks.

Auction Dolls

80s Rocker Dude

Base: Fairy Dollz

This little dude was one half of an auction win for MBladez, who has a relatable nostalgic bent for 80s rock/metal. Not based on anyone in particular, but rather a tribute to all long-locked, leather pants-wearing, shirtless axe masters from AC/DC to ZZ Top.

Midnite Avatar

Base: Random Doodles

An avatar created for midnite, inspired by Oyye Vey's hair tutorial and a pixel pattern from Xandorra. So very happy with the top!

Slash

Base: PoppedArtDolls

2nd half of MBladez' auction win. She wanted GNR/Velvet Revolver guitar god Slash. And I . . . did my best. This doll made me realize I have to correct the arms on my Rock Star base, but I'm not exactly sure how.

Asian Fighter

Base: Forgotten Kingdom

The following two dolls were made for Innerflame. My parameters were female, fighter, serious and blue. I had just seen House of Flying Daggers the day before, and I'm pretty sure its influence worked its way into the outfit.

European Fighter

Base: Forgotten Kingdom

I didn't want Innerflame to feel cheated by receiving a smaller doll, so I made a western counterpart to the above Asian-ish fighter.

Meggan from Excalibur

Base: Lilacblizzard Dollz

After winning some terrific ace dolls from FeyMeggan, I got the chance to return the favour. This is Meggan, the Excaliburian elemental.

Pirate number one

Base: Joyful Girl

Another doll for FeyMeggan - a character of hers in full-on pirate gear. Out of all the outfits I've drawn, this one is probably my favourite.

Medieval Lady

Base: Joyful Girl

Midge's auction win: a noblewoman in medieval clothes. Lesson learned: drawing tiny celtic knots is impossible. Drawing tiny brocade patterns is next to impossible.

Base: Wayuki's Place

Created for an auction won by Artsy Alicatt, this guy represents Dirk Pitt/Matthew McConaughey of Sahara fame. I'm happy with the doll, although I'm kind of banking on him resembling the character in the novel rather than McConaughey himself, because he's not too terribly McConaugheysey.

Base: Dolleria

An EE auction win. The request was for an Empress tarot card X medieval wear X Celtic influences X a self portrait of the auction winner. Challenging! At the time, I really struggled with it, but I think it was well worth it in the end. Once again, I chickened out when it came to a background, so I used one of my own photographs so I wouldn't feel completely guilty about "cheating".

Blue Elf

Base: Random Doodles

I think this was my first ever auction doll. It's certainly the largest doll I've ever attempted. While I'm proud of the shading, I'd really like to get into a time machine and do a better job of the somewhat strange hair.

Request Dolls

Small Deraniel

Base: Wayuki's Place

A teeny tiny version of Pixel Spectrum's site mascot, who I eventually incorporated into a banner.

Hooded Elf

Base: Starweaver

Created eons ago as a Realm request. Is it a hood or a helmet? YOU decide!

Yuffie

Base: Dolleria

My first ever request response. I took on Yuffie, a Final Fantasy character, despite never having laid eyes on anything FF-related in my life.

Habs Fan

Base: Joyful Girl

I've always wanted to doll something hockey related, so this Realm request for a member in a Habs jersey was right up my alley.

Deraniel Large

Base: Joyful Girl

A large version of Pixel Spectrum's mascot. I like the top and the rainbow gem, but I wish I'd changed the shape of the skirt. It's kinda weird.

Gift, Donation & Award Dolls

Mini-Cindi

Base: PoppedArtDolls

A mini-Cinderella, donated to the Treasure Chest at FF.

Mini Clerks

Base: PoppedArtDolls

The Clerks crew (Dante, Randall, Jay and Silent Bob), made for Kevin Smith fan Mommyfeet. Hopefully one day I'll get around to doing a larger version of these guys . . . before Clerks 2 is released.

Base: Magic Lessons

This mini-doll/icon was created as a gift for Pixie Wildflower. I had been dying to use this base for awhile. My first ever fairy doll! I don't know why she's wearing pink overalls, but I've found it best not to ponder my "creative" decisions anymore.

Base: Pseudo Artistic Endeavours

If there's a theme here at PoppedArtDolls, it must be this: character dolls that in no way resemble the character they were created to represent. But I keep trying anyway. I based my first ever HP doll on a movie still for Goblet of Fire, hence the mussy locks. Actually, all the characters look shaggier in the upcoming installment . . . I'm happy my hair will soon be inadvertently cool.

Base: Sanity Challenged

Custom doll created for one of the winners of my Femmes contest. She wanted a dashing doll of one of her RPG characters. I'm happy with the way he turned out, although I think I'd rather pinch his cheeks than be swept away by him - he's just so gosh darn cee-ute!

The Men of Firefly

Base: Dolls In Blue

Speaking of crews . . . these five guys are the entire male contigency of Joss Whedon's Firefly - a show I was recently introduced to and instantly loved. This was a gift for Medox, who had dolled the female half of the crew.

All bases: Pixtoki

I made these three for the FF BBQ doorprize. I was reliving my youthful summers filled with fine, firey foods: hot dogs, hamburgers and marshmallows. Carbon-filled treats!

Base: Apitchou

Inspired by this picture, I made this as a gift for the judges of my first ever contest, a historical French fashion affair.

Asian Avatar

Base: Random Doodles

Created for the talented MBladez, I drew a fascinating Asian top I found online in Mbladez's favourite colour.

Spike Av

Base: Random Doodles

As soon as I heard Zenmistress was a Spike fan, I was inspired to make a Spikey av. Terrible shading job on the jacket, but I'm somewhat happy with his impossible to draw bleached locks.

Houlihan from M*A*S*H

Base:Dollz by MBladez

Major Houlihan, for M*A*S*H fan ElementalGirl.

Thiefy Doll

Base: Xandorra's Place

A thiefy-type character for Arianwyn on one of her favourite basemaker's bases.

Misc Dude

Base: Cherry Lime Soda

Completely random doll donated to the FF Treasure Chest. I believe he started out as a Gambit doll until the hair was finished, then ended up on the other side of town, vision-wise.

18th Century Scottish Highlander

Base: Joyful Girl

Made as a gift for the inspiring and talented Oyye Vey of Oops I Arted. She mentioned a thing for all things Scottish, so I found an illustration of an 18th century Scottish Highlander and went to work. I didn't draw the tartan, of course. I just couldn't do it justice. The rest of him is mine and I'm proud of it!

Base: Shouri's Dollz

As a winner in my TGS contest, Emmers qualified for a custom doll. The request was for Christine and Raoul à la "All I Ask of You" from The Phantom of the Opera (movie division). Two things: 1) I have yet to figure out curls and 2) this base is deceptively large! I think Raoul's locks stole 5 years from my life. Get a haircut, hippee! :p

BanC

Base: Joyful Girl

This is me and my RL sister, made at the request of the latter. I'm trying to convince her to take up dolling because she's a much better artist than I am. Hopefully my efforts will pay off one day . . . . On a different note, I like my feathery hair and wish it looked like that in RL!

Cyclist for C

Base: If Looks Could Kill

Another request for my RL sister. She asked for a mountain biking outfit. I told her I didn't know what that was, but drew one anyway. And hated it. Hated it so much that I didn't tell her I made it. Now, half a year later, it doesn't look so bad to me. So C, if you're reading this, your order is (finally) ready!

Base: Oops I Arted

I like how FF's base challenges force me into my discomfort zone. I normally wouldn't have the courage to touch a) such a good-looking base and b) a child-like base, but a long overdue visit from my sister (who is an avid gardener and has a grey tabby named Jingles), inspired me to make this for her.

Other

Base: The Dolls of Accimuttt
Parrot base: Cathie's Crazie Creations

This was my av during FF's Beauty and the Beast theme. It's loosely based on a fairy tale picture book I had as a young'un. The rose is in the continuing tradition of using my own photographs when I lack the talent to draw something. ;)
